Introducing Shade
After three months of work and play I’m happy to finally release Shade for play testing. Shade is a casual game available for Windows and OS X in which you try collect as many mushroom as you can while staying in the shadows. Way back when I came across Lost Garden’s prototype challenge for Shade and thought it was a great idea. Now, three months later the idea has finally taken the form of a complete game, which I present to you:
Please visit the new Shade page to download the latest copy of the game, leave feedback, and see anything else related to the game. I would also really appreciate it if you left some feedback here or on Shade’s feedback page. Here are some things to think about when playing:
- How difficult is the game?
- Is the game too long, too short, or just right?
- Should your health carry over from level to level or refill at the end of a level?
- What’s your favorite level? What’s your least favorite level?
- What’s the most annoying thing about the game?
- Did you feel the pace of the game was too fast, too slow? Why?
- Was the game’s visual presentation fitting for the game?
- Were there any obstacles you found more frustrating than others? (In a bad way)
- Was there anything you found about controlling the player which you found difficult?
- Was there you felt was unclear or didn’t understand?
- What do you think would add most to the gameplay?
I hope you enjoy and please let me know what you think!
