Indie Game Competition

Hey guys, sorry I haven’t updated recently — things have been busy at home and at work. One of the things that’s kept me busy lately is a game I’m working on for a new competition. Since I know a lot of your are indie game developers I thought I’d share the news with you!

The 2BeeGames Indie Game Competition is a new contest which aims to bring a lot of media and publisher attention to your game. Specifically, the top ten games will most likely get a fair amount of play and the top three game developers will walk away with cash prizes. In fact, it’s $10,000 for first place!

All that said I’m sure the competition will be fierce so I’m not entering to win. Instead I think this is a good opportunity to work with some more people and get some valuable experience, that is to practice my craft. Another wrinkle is the deadline for the contest is April 15th!! So you’ve got about a month to slap together a “beta” level product, which roughly translates into a playable first level according to their rules.

Anyway, I hope you’ll consider entering, and if you do let me know and we can swap notes. At any rate, I look forward to working on my new title and sharing it with all of you soon!
