Hi Elaine, exactly how much time really depends on your role and your team. Last year, one of my team mates (team of three people) was absent for most of Saturday. So I suppose missing an entire day's worth of the event can be considered an upper bound. To make up a number for you, I imagine you'd want to spend at least four hours on site each day.

Regardless of how much time you can commit why not show up Friday evening and see what's up? Even if you feel you can't contribute to a team you can still be a wallflower and potentially learn something and have a good time. Hope to see you there!

I'm really interested in participating in this. How much time would I actually have to be on site to be part of the team?

Hi Sara, thanks so much for your words of encouragment. Hearing from satisfied fans is one of the most rewarding aspects of making games! As to your question I would start by checking out a website I've create for Adlib: http://playadlib.com, specifically I would check out the Tips and Tricks section. If you're still looking for tips feel free to hop onto the Chat page and we can discuss the game further.

Thanks again, Alex

Hello Alex,

I think Adlib is brilliant and it's one of my favourites!! I'd love some hints on how to achieve "owl saviour" more often. I think, most of the time, for me, it's been luck, rather than skill! One time I was playing and the entire board lit up and I actually didn't know what was happening. I would love some instructions on the more challenging levels.

Great work. I hope you receive the acknowledgement you deserve!!
Sara

Alex,

Petunk is great! I really like how the construction paper gives the game a great texture. The music is swell and the levels are fun.

I've been reading a lot of articles on component based architecture, and I really want to move to it after I finish my current game project. It's a bit too late for me to try implementing it now, so I'll have to wait a bit before I can tackle this idea. Great post though!

Looking forward to digging through your blog.
